Well, it's been a good while since we last had an event in-game and I think we should do one. I think we should rally some ideas for what do and then vote on them. For starters I would like to suggest Defend the Flag (seemed like a simple name for a nameless game). Let's see what we can do for fun in the upcoming weeks! Thanks for reading.  |

Funny, was just thinking about how long it has been since we had an event about 2 days ago. I'm all in for one, anyone got an event that they have been dying to play for a long time? I personally have been wanting to do a CE event for a while, but thats just me. I believe 'Defend the flag' turned out to be alright last time. But, as I said, anyone had an Event they have wanted to play for a while?

So far Defend the Flag has been my favourite of the events I've attended. My personal opinion it was best played on the Ice Fields, Sidewinder was too tough on the offensive without the tunnels. So far I haven't really heard any suggestions other than Defend the Flag, so I guess we'll wait a few more days before a decision is made. Then we'll hop-to setting it up. Thinking sometime next week or weekend, or later should it be required, when it's convenient enough for lots of us. Maybe on Saturday night for us American timezoners, so the Australians and others from similar time zones can play as well.

Previous event times were:
Australia: 8:30-9.00 A.M
NZ: 10:30 - 11:00 A.M
And U.S.A: 3:30-4:00 P.M Pacific Time 6:30-7:00 Eatsern Time. (The day before the Aussies/NZ)
And they seemed to work out well. As for the maps, Ice Fields was the best to play on. I am also on holidays, isnt it great to be a Senior Lindog? lol, which means any day is good with me too.

Holidays in about 2 weeks, but if its on a Saturday I will have tennis and I agree that Ice Fields is the best map for this event.

Alright, looks like majority want to play Defend the Flag. But I'll start a poll just to make sure. Stripes, in the past we have allowed certain non-§§ players to play with us. When I played this it was shortly after I took my reprieve from Halo, it wasn't a total reprieve, but that's going off topic  . I can't remember if Saleen was in the clan at the time, but he was allowed to play with us as well. And if your re-app goes through you should be able to play. |

Regardless of what event we are doing, we still need a server! Lol. Past events were done in Church's server, SS4, SS8 will be available or someone can just put up a regular server, not a dedi. Also, the good thing is if we do play Defend the Flag we don't need to make a custom Game Type or anything like that as we had to do for Zombies. So it will be a lot easier to organise, BTW we still got 5 days to prepare for it.

Defend the Flag is a very simple game. 2 people will be on one team, and the remainder on the other team. Let's say the 2 people are blue (defense) and the remainder are red (offense). The blue team has to defend the flag in the blue base using a Warthog, they must remain in the Warthog until the red team wins by getting the flag. The red team being offensive will try to get to the blue flag without being killed. The red team cannot shoot the blue team, they can only run, hide, and dodge. There are no cliffs or teleports allowed.

I think last time there was no custom Game Type made, we just did it on normal CTF. Also, for the times, I presume its Saturday for U.S.A and Sunday for Aussies/ NZ? Just making sure...
