From the Mythbuster's Season 7 Demolition Derby episode this is a sled propelled by rockets to pancake a compact car between the rocket sled and 15,000lb concrete block with a 1" steel plate. Watching this part of the episode just blew my mind!
It's so cool during the high-speed footage how it shows the dust from the car, you see red dust from where the car is red, and white dust from the white stripes. Just amazing!
