Is Windows a Virus No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:
1.They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.
2.Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.
3.Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.
4.Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. - Sigh.. Windows does that, too.
5.Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. - Yup, Windows does that, too.
Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.
So Windows is not a virus.
It's a bug.

I don't know why people are always complaining about Windows Vista. I've had mine for half a year and the only problem I had was downloading Adobe Flashplayer 10. And the only reason that was difficult was because the Adobe site kept wanting me to download the wrong one without telling me.

I don't have a problem with vista, I used to but my parents just bought a computer and it came with vista and I was playing with it and it seemed okay. I do like my XP though. But in time I will HAVE to upgrade to vista. Windows will start making it to where newer programs will only work with vista, halo 2 is an example.

They said Halo 2 was only good with Windows Vista, but then they came out with a "cracked" Halo 2 for XP, I think Halo 2 should be on XP and Vista, oops i hope this isn't off the subject

The only good thing about Windows ME is that the kernel system is used for the xbox and xbox 360. Also, if you don't have vista yet and are planning on upgrading, don't yet. Wait for windows 7. It is a much more well tuned version of vista, and at this moment is scheduled for release later this fall. Seraphim, how can you not download stuff from the internet in vista? that doesn't make any sense to me. I have had vista since a week after it came out and I haven't had any problems with it, or any compatibility issues with anything.
