Phasor is going to be the remake of roulette, that should (hopefully) replace Gandanur. It will be a similar setup to roulette, but it WILL NOT suck. I want some ideas for features, at the moment there's: Remote Connect - RCON without halo Statistics tracking - Tracks the statistics of players in your servers. Unified banlist - Have all servers you want running off the same banlist. Doesn't matter if they're on a different computer. Dynamic maps - Will send a patch to supported clients so they can apply the mod your server is running on. Dynamic mods - Run different mods on the same map in the same server (using mapcycle). Hash based rcon system. Server logs. Map voting. Vote kick. Private messaging system. New server commands, note if I list a function that does soemthing that needs to be reversed, assume it will be added. I'm too lazy to write both. Some commands that are the result of above features aren't listed here. - sv_kill - Kills a player.
- sv_say - Server message.
- sv_auto_say - Automated server message.
- sv_admins - Lists admins in server.
- sv_immune - Kills a player until an admin lets them spawn.
- sv_changeteam - Changes a player's team.
- sv_lockteams - Stops all non-admins from changing teams.
- sv_balanceteams - Balances the teams.
- sv_mute - Blocks chat from a player.
- sv_kickafk - Kicks AFK players after a certain time interval.
This is where my ideas run out and yours come in. Get suggesting.

What about a command that makes a chat message specified to one single player? Like... sv_msg<namehere>? Liking the ideas so far.

I like that Timmeh, what about sv_pm <player #> <message> instead? easier to get the player number via sv_players and use that instead of having to type some possibly alt coded name.

How would it work if an admin sv_pms a non-admin, how would they reply?
I was thinking (in chat, not console) <player number>: message
So like 1: Hi
But, I still don't see how the player could get another player's number and names are too hard to write.

You could use it to warn the player if he is breaking the rules and you don't want to argue. Its a very good way to let the player know when he is in the wrong with no questions asked.

And if it isn't to much, Make it to where when the admin or rcon holder etc.. sends a private message, it doesn't give his in game name so the player never knows who exactly is sending the message/has the ability to ban or kick. Would give under covers an advantage.

That is difficult. These server mods will (for the most part) assume they're running an unmodded client. The way chat works is the server sends the player id (not name) of the player sending the message. The client looks up the player (from the player table) based on the id. The id must be from 0-15 and denote a player. The only reasonable way of making the admin anonymous would be to make the message appear to be from themselves.

If you add the feature, have the admin anonymous as it comes up on a personal message saying: (ADMIN) or (RCON): <message>

They'd need to know the player number of who they're messaging.

you could perhaps have the chat messages show as §§}Church: (<player number>) Hey guys See above post, to do that I'd need to change their physical in-game name which could screw the scorecard up and may not even work if their name is too long. @timmeh, they will. Any new ideas for new features?
