Effective as of now, I am hosting SS2, SS3, SS4, SS7, and Elimination servers. I'll have them up for the duration that Church is away on vacation.
I can't guarantee I'll keep them running all through the day AND night. But surely they will be up from approximately 7AM PST to 12AM PST every day.
As for lag, I have a very high speed Comcast connection and I live about an hour away from where Church lives. What I'm trying to say is that your ping will be very similar to what it was when Church was hosting. In fact, you'll hardly notice any difference whatsoever.
If anyone has any issues or concerns, feel free to voice them here.
Edit: this of course means the IP address has changed for the servers so you will have to re-add them to your xfire favorites lists!

Hopefully when I get back my IP will NOT have changed so that all your old saved IP's will work (as well as some stuff on the forum that runs from my own computer)

It's nice to have such a low ping. Although, admittedly I haven't had much of a problem with ping while Church hosts either seeing as how I live only an hour away from him (I get about 66 ping when he hosts, and 33 ping when I host).  It is quite different when I play in other servers that are hosted across the country or even in different countries. |

thanks boom and also thanks church for the work you do as well we appreciate you both so much! Might i add it is good to see ss3 up and running again and man was that a popular server today i had to wait 15- 20 minutes for someone to drop out so i could jump in and show em how to snipe onehanded and still start owning! what can i say some were made to die i was made to kill and i do it well  Well thanks again to you both! |
