The applications threads in the Recruiting Center are to be used strictly for the purposes of
Until a month or so ago, no one but staff could respond to a thead in the Recruiting Center. We opened it up to everyone so that full Clan Members could comment on a recruit during the evaluation period. That board is not intended for any other purposes than those stated above.
If you have helpful tips for the applicant / recruit, or want to wish them well or welcome them, please use the Private Message system instead of replying to the application thread. Alternately you can make a post in the General board.
Recruits other than the person who actually applied in the thread, should not be posting in anyone else's application thread at all.
Restating this somewhat differently as a review of the above information:
Comment: Restatement list added 4/25/09 to hopefully clarify and reinforce what is expected concerning posting replies to membership applicaitons.
- A person applying to join the clan
- Staff members to respond to and process said application
- Full Clan Members to comment concerning a Clan Recruits behavior or performance during the evaluation period.

- Recruits should not even post in application threads at all unless it is their own thread.
- Full Clan Members (and higher other than staff) may post feedback concerning a recruit's performance or behavior only.
- Non Clan Members may post only messages letting us know that the applicant is a member of another clan or may have applied to join another clan.
- Staff members (Recruiting Officer and higher) may post as needed to process the application.
- All other well wishes, helpful tips, comments, etc. should be sent to the recruit via a Private Message, Xfire, Skype or via a post in another board such as the General board. Well wishes and helpful tips are great and help to make applicants and new recruits feel welcome. Please continue to let them know they are welcome, but do not do it in their application threads.
