event coming up

Well this post is 2 weeks and ONE DAY old, eeep, i hope i dont get bagged for this but its quite relevant, um well i think the decision is made, we are going to do a Double Elimination Tournement 6 Votes to 3 (Pheonix's One), so Pheonix do you want to organise this with some one and get it going soon? cuz i want to get this started it would be fun, and im hungry for some action around here, not that Sgt training isnt fun enough, cough cough, lol

I'm not going to quibble over a one day past the two week dormant thread time. Now one day and 1 minute, that is a different story. ;D

I'm ok with authorizing a double elimination tournament. We will need to setup some guidelines for the maximum time each pair has to get together and complete their round. If someone cannot complete their round in that time frame, they would have to forfeit. Otherwise, the tournament will likely never come to completion. We had a single elimination tournament last year that we never completed because of that very problem.

I'm still waiting on the combatants to sign up. I'll start a thread and post that if you want to compete then just post your name. We need to discuss the rules. Heres what I think and they are open for discussion.

1) The tournament will be held between May 11 - May 17. One week.

2)A special map will be set with slayer rules and a kill limit of 25 will be set.

3)A time limit will be set for 15 minutes. (should be more then enough time to make 25 kills if both players aren't camping)

4)At the end of 15 minutes, the person with the most kills wins, even if 25 kills hasn't been met.

5)It is the winners responsibility to take a screen shot of the score for verification. (Although I doubt your opponent will have a problem doing this for you if you ask him to)

6)Once I post the combatants you have 24 hours to reply and another 24 hours to get with your opponent and compete.

7)If you fail to reply to my posting of the combatants within 24 hours then it will be considered a forfeiture.

I know some of these rules will seem unfair. and there need to be others. This is just a rough draft.

Oh well if you only have 24 hours to combatants with your next opponent then i dont think i can participate because i barely see anyone on anymore, but i seem to be on when you are Phoenix and a couple of others so if you need help organising it i should be able to help.

I've already have a bracket ready to fill in names. I just need the names now.

Pred these are just really rough rules that I am suggesting. I for one would like to make the rules for everyone to be able to participate, after all its for fun. Everyone should be able to have fun.

Where should I post the thread about names? Not everyone comes to events. Maybe general? I'll just go ahead and post it there and it can be moved later I guess.
