OK i will post this for predator i made a poll about it and here is what predator wrote.
§§}Predator
Well i posted this thread to come up with some ideas of some good events that we can hold. i have one that might be fun, me and Colt played have played it before, i think its called hunters and catchers. The red team has got to try to touch the flag to win, they cannot shoot, nade, melee etc... The blue team have two people on the team and those two must remain in a hog for the entire game. They must stop the red team from getting the flag. When the red team gets the flag, the person who got it chooses a partner and then they become the hunters (Blue Team) for the next round. The best maps for these are most likely the bigger maps such as Infinity, Blood Gulch, Ice fields ect.. Thats just an idea.
So post all of your suggestions and i might put up a vote to see which ones are most popular, so post away!

Well i am thinking ahead, but who has got some free time coming up so that we can work on setting this up, i have got a few weeks of in about 2 weeks time. But after next Tuesday i should be free anyway. I want to set a date(s) to the members convenience so that all who want to participate in the event can rather than not being able to because of the date or time.

Predator I'm putting you in charge of this event so you can make the rules and such its in your hands if you need help with anything i would be glad to help you.
And as for the gunner seat on the hog i wouldn't recommend it. But like i said predator is in charge.

I would think that having a gunner in the hog is pretty much the only way two people in a vehicle can defend their base without running people over. But again, it is predators decision. If you need help setting this up, I am willing to help as much as possible too.

Well, I would think it wouldn't be good for someone to go in the gunner seat. When the person is in the gunner seat , It will make it more harder for the red team to even make it half way on the map for some time. We could have a round or two for the blue team to be able to us the gunner seat and to be able to kill. This is none of my decision , Just my thought. It's all up to Predator and his ideas and his decisions.

Hogs would be fine as long as you don't use the rocket hog as those shoot your teammates up in the air now the turret gun would be fine but i think the rocket hog isn't fair at all.

Well when there are many ppl in the server and the map is as big as infinity, it is very fair for the Hunters (Blue Team) to use the gunners seat. I really do think the best map is infinity because the red team has to be very stealthy and Infinity has numerous rocks, cliff ledges, ditches etc.. to hide behind. Most of the time the Hunters can barley make it 10 mins before the red team gets the flag. So the blue team really does need the gunner to make it a fair match. Of course if it is one sided on the day then we will come up with something to even up the teams, and yes in a SDTM the rocket hog would be very unfair so we may have to use only the turret. Keep posting Questions that you have guys and ill get started writing up some detailed rules and game structure and so on..

We only have 6 people that have voted yes. So that would make 2 people on blue team and 4 people on red team. I think that should be enough , But I would like more people to make it more fun.
If this happens , Will it be this month or the next?

The game that predator and me played was in one of xs servers to which xs]moridin invites his xfire friends and play then odd games with specific game rules. |

Ok well unfortunately i cannot have the event this weekend due to having 4 exams and an assignment due in early next week. But next weekend I'll almost certainly be free because we only have that Mon and Tue (22nd, 23rd) then i go on a 3 week break. So if it is ok with everyone we could schedule it to be on either next Sat or Sun. As for the time I'm not sure when my Football (I think you guys call it soccer?) Match will be on Sat but on Sunday I'm usually free the whole day. Hope that sets a rough idea for time and date.

I voted yes as well. I would be willing to participate in any clan events though this one could be a little difficult but I'm sure it will be fun. I would like to help in some way but cant really come up with anything except i have a home dedi but we have that covered. Well I'm there for you predator if theres any thing i can do for the event.  |
