Indeed, Quicker is correct. It depends on what the persons religion is.. I finally got the reason. (lol)
I think the egg.. My reason is that the bird would have to have been evolved from the embryo inside the egg.

Wow, this thread really kicked off today. My feeling is that the egg came first, because the chicken hatched out of an egg laid by the previous evolutionary step before chicken.

a) where chickens around at the time of dinosaurs? no.
B) where 'eggs' around at the time of dinosaurs?YES!(the dinos hatched from eggs!)

time and space imploded and created a parallel reality and a road. The chicken was crossing the road in the other world and tried to get to the other side (the parallel world) in doing so it was squashed into an egg.
