Could some one help me come up with a thesis for this prompt.
Thoreau's infamous ideas on "Civil Disobedience," written in 1849, have been monumental in the fight for change; from the 1940s fight against Danish resistance, the 1950s and McCarthyism, to the 1970s anti-war activists, Thoreau's words have helped lead the way to freedom. Why did Thoreau's message of freedom transcend his own time to be so influential to those throughout history?
I really need help because this, Thoreau’s eloquent writing and diction set the stage for his message about spiritual freedom to transcend down through the years and become influential down through history. Is all I have come up with in 3 days. HELP!!! Please!

I.. have.. no.. idea..
I usually end up with descent ones, but this one I can't really think of much.
---------------------
The only thing I have right now would be to set three counter or agreeable examples, or statements to use later in the paragraphs. I'm not too sure on the background on the information you were given, so I wouldn't be able to think of much of the three examples / topics.
I guess you could start of the sentence with a, "Thoreau's message of freedom transcend his own time to have been so influential to those throughout history because of these three examples / statements, (give them then end the sentence.) ... And I have no idea what to do next.
Lol... sorry.

You have 3 examples already listed. The answer to the question is how those 3 examples ring true to his words and ideals. You can also come up with a few more examples from resent history. Does the name Dr. martin Luther King ring a bell?

What was Dr Kings greatest asset in his fight for civil rights? His civil disobedience. Protests, marches, boycotts and sit ins all helped him get media and government attention.

I don't know Otori, it would be an okay one to use....But it is way overused. I would think of less obvious people to use in that arguement, to wow the teacher.....Maybe of someone that you've read in your texts in that class.
